Who we are
Udupi Group of Institutions, Manipal ("UGI", "we", "us") operates this app and website to share information from our official Prospectus 2026 and to receive admission enquiries. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how you can control it.
Information we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us through the Admission Enquiry form:
- Your name and mobile number
- Your current qualification (e.g. SSLC or PUC) and the course you are interested in
- Any message you type in the enquiry form
How we use it
Your enquiry details are used only by the UGI admissions team to:
- Call, message or WhatsApp you back about the course you asked about
- Share admission dates, eligibility, fees and prospectus information
- Keep a record of enquiries for the current admission season
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not use it for third-party advertising, and we do not run advertising networks or trackers in the app.
Information stored on your device
Courses you bookmark with the "Save" button are stored only on your device so they are there the next time you open the app. They are never uploaded and are removed when you uninstall the app.
Third-party services
The app and website may open external services when you tap on them: Google Maps for directions, YouTube for campus videos, WhatsApp for chat, your phone dialler, and our official website. These services have their own privacy policies and are used only when you choose to open them.
Data retention and security
Enquiries are stored securely on our servers and are accessible only to authorised admissions staff through a password-protected admin area. Enquiries are kept for the admission season they relate to and are then deleted or anonymised.
Children
Our courses are for students who have completed SSLC (Class 10) or above. If you are under 18, please submit an enquiry together with a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Your choices
You can ask us to view, correct or delete the enquiry details you submitted at any time by emailing admissions@udupicolleges.edu.in or calling 0820-2570924. You may also ask us to stop contacting you and we will do so promptly.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the app or website after a change means you accept the updated policy.
